Happy to introduce: Isla Brose
Isla has joined the firm at the beginning of September as a Counsel from the dispute resolution practice of CMS. Isla specialises in dispute resolution, arbitration and litigation. She advises companies and individuals on complex disputes across all areas of business and commercial law and also acts as an arbitrator. Isla is an experienced arbitration and litigation lawyers and brings more than a decade of dispute resolution experience to the firm.
Since joining CMS in 2018, Isla has gained extensive experience in disputes relating to the energy sector, commercial law, contract law, and a wide range of commercial law matters. She also was seconded to the legal department of Spotify AB in Stockholm. Previously, she spent two years in the Hamburg office of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, where she advised on commercial disputes as well as mass litigation.
Isla completed her legal traineeship in Hamburg with stages at inter alia Latham & Watkins in London and in the Legal Department of the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. She holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and studied law at Humboldt University in Berlin. Next to her native working languages English and German, Isla also has an intermediate knowledge of French and a basic knowledge of Italian and Russian.
Outside of work, Isla enjoys Pilates, playing the flute, and spending time with her family.
