Happy to introduce: Dr Charlotte H. Peters
Charlotte already trained with the firm and joined as an Associate last year. After a six months sabbatical and travel through the Americas – from Argentina all the way to Canada – she now returns full time to the firm.
Charlotte completed her legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Hamburg, with stages at the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris and CMS in Hamburg, among others. She studied law at the University of Kiel and obtained a Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Bonn for a dissertation on the legal framework for the use of algorithms in arbitration. Charlotte gained previous work experience during her PhD, working as a research assistant at Hogan Lovells and CMS in Hamburg. During her studies, she coached the University of Kiel’s Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team.
She is part of the Law and AI Research Group at Bucerius Law School. She is fluent in Spanish and a member of the German-Colombian Legal Society, as well as DIS and DIS40.
Outside of work, she is an avid traveller and an Ultimate Frisbee champion.
